Special Care for Special Needs Children
Do you have a special needs or medically fragile child?
Do you need a night out just for YOU but can't seem to find help?
Are you tired? Stressed? Exhausted?
Are your children precious to you?
Then you've come to the right place. We can help.
YourRespite is all about freedom and peace of mind for you and your family.
As parents of a special needs child, you know how difficult it is to find time for yourself. Time to run errands, or to spend time with your spouse for a night or a weekend, or just time for yourself to relax.
As a group, parents of special needs children are more stressed, and even more at risk for divorce, or worse (check out what couples say about the impact of caring for a special needs child, and also this WSJ article). Also, according to ARCH National Respite network , three fifths of family caregivers age 19-64 surveyed recently by the Commonwealth Fund reported fair or poor health, one or more chronic conditions, or a disability, compared with only one-third of non caregivers. Respite is something that parents of special needs children desperately need, and YourRespite can help make it happen. YourRespite provides childcare for your special needs children, in your home, up to age 19.
We have found that while family, friends, and support groups often fill this need, parents may feel guilty when calling on them time and time again for help. From a recognition of this need, YourRespite was born. Contact us today!
If you would like to help families who need respite, but can't afford it, please visit Special Needs Respite, a 501c(3) non-profit that uses funds donated to help such families.
